Hello crafty friends! Leanne here today and I’ll be sharing two cards.  Exact same design but I’ve changed up some colors on a few things for each card.  The stamp sets that I’ve used on my cards today are Cheery Greetings, Elephant Friends, and Puddle Play. Elephant Friends and Puddle Play coordinate very well together giving you even more scene building options.  The scene I’ve created on these cards could go for many different occasions depending on the sentiment.  I went with “It’s your day” on my cards because I plan on using them for birthdays

For both cards I used all the small critters from Puddle Play and Elephant Friends – bunnies, mice, ducks, and butterflies.  I used the clouds and one of the Elephant images from Puddle Play (I picked one that could hold the Hooray flag).  I colored all the images with Copic markers and then cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used one of the Grassy Knoll dies to cut two grass borders which I layered to give a little depth to the scene.  I used a cloud stencil to add detail to the sky.  This scene did not require the full height of the card so I decided to add a decorative border at the bottom using the Country Gingham background stamp.

The first version of this card (the one with the pink gingham border) seemed very springy and feminine.  So that’s when I decided to make a second card with a more summery feel.  I colored the Hooray flag in red and stamped the gingham border in red as well.  Colored the bunnies light brown and the butterflies blue.

I often have trouble deciding on color schemes for my cards.  So when that happens I usually end up making the same card twice with different colors.  It’s always fun to see how a few minor color changes can effect the whole look and feel of a design.

I hope I have offered you some scene building inspiration and coloring ideas for these cute Hello Bluebird stamp sets.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
