Hello there!  Audrey here with a card to share with you using the recently released Puddle Play stamp set and coordinating Puddle Play dies!  I live in Florida, and this time of year, the weather is all over the place.  Once minute the sun is shining and the next, it’s pouring!  My umbrella is getting a work-out these days!! 🙂

I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit with this card, and pulled out my Prismacolor Pencils and some medium grey cardstock.  Colored pencil is not a medium that I work with often, but I am trying to change that, and I really love the effect on colored cardstock, and grey is perfect for a rainy day.  I stamped all of my images onto the grey cardstock, and colored them  before diecutting them with the coordinating dies.  I cut a card base measuring 4″ x 5.25″, and then diecut a stitched panel measuring 3.75″ x 5″.  I stamped the puddle from the stamp set directly onto the  stitched panel and colored that with two shades of aqua pencil.  Then, I arranged my diecuts to create a scene, and popped everthing up with foam tape.  I stamped a sentiment from the Puddle Play stamp set onto a hand cut banner, which is the same grey color as the rest of the card.  That panel is popped up on the card base with foam tape.

I wanted to add some water droplets falling from the clouds and into the puddle, so I pulled out some Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.  I love the effect falling from the sky.  I got a little hasty though, and wanted to dry them faster, so I pulled out my heat gun and blasted the puddle.  Did you know that Nuvo Drops bubble and go a little wonky when you heat them?  It’s really best to air dry. Ask me how I know. *wink*

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  It was great to have you! 🙂
