Hi friends! It’s Keeway and I’m so excited to be here for my very first post on the Hello Bluebird blog! The first time I saw Hello Bluebird stamps, I knew immediately I just had to get them. I loved their designs so much, and I didn’t hesistate to make a purchase, and as part of my very first order with them, I bought the Elephant Friends and Cheery Greetings. So it only makes sense that I use my very first Hello Bluebird stamps for my very first post!

I stamped several images from the Elephant Friends stamp set in dark brown hybrid ink and colored the images with copic markers. Then, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. Aren’t these critters just the sweetest?

As I love working with pastels, I decided to create a soft evening sky by using Shaded Lilac and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. I heat embossed sentiments from Cheery Greetings in the top left corner.

Next, I die cut a couple layer of grass out of a pale green card stock. I didn’t own it at the time of making the cards, but you can die cut grass using the Grassy Knoll Die.  I gently blended a light shade of Peeled Paint oxide ink from the bottom up on those layers to create a slight depth to it, and added some white acrylic paint splatter.

And finally for assembly, I first adhered the two layers of grass with foam tape in between them and the background. And lastly, I adhered the various critters to my card with foam tape and liquid adhesive. I am totally obsessed with how cute all these critters are! I hope you love this sweet scene as much as I do. Cheers and happy crafting! 🙂
