Hi friends, Eloise here today for my first post on the blog and I’m so excited. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use the brand new release, but instead today I’ll be using the Springtime stamp set along with Cheery Greetings for my sentiment.
To begin my card today, I started off with stamping all my images from Springtime onto some Neenah Solar White Cardstock and coloured them in with Copic Markers. Once they were coloured, I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I set them off to the side and worked on my background. I wanted my panel to have two sections, like windows. So I decided to use a stitched rectangle die and cut it twice on top of each other from some more white paper, cut to the same size as my card base (4″ wide x 5 1/2″ tall). Now I had two windows to fill for my scenes. Then, for some colour in the background I decided to ink blend some Distress Inks. So I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the bottom and Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass for the top, fading into white in the middle.
(Copic Markers Used: RV13, RV25, RV09 / Y21, YR12, YR16 / Y00, Y11, Y15 / BG11, BG23, BG49 / YG61, YG63, YG67 / B0000, B000 / BV02, BV04, BV08 / R00, R20 / YR21, YR24, YR27 / E31, E34, E35 / E000, E00, E21 / W00, W0, W2, W5, W7 / 0 / YG03, YG13, YG17)
Now that all my elements were ready, I could assemble. I added foam tape to the back of my frame and adhered it onto the ink blended piece. Then I added more foam tape to the images and adhered those down into place as well. I then pulled the Cheery Greetings set out and stamped the large ‘Hello’ and then ‘friend’ underneath using some black ink. Lastly, I adhered the sun over top of the sentiment a little in the corner.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed and got inspired and I’ll see you all next time.
